Energy Efficiency
Pfizer makes substantial efforts to reduce our carbon and energy footprint through conservation and efficiency projects. Using energy more efficiently is an important part of environmental sustainability and an area where our colleagues are encouraged to contribute. On an annual basis, each of our operating sites undertake projects intended to achieve at least a 5-percent facility energy efficiency improvement. Consolidation of operations has also helped. A wide range of other steps decrease energy use, such as greening our fleet, our green building efforts, manufacturing innovations, combining heat and power systems, and renewable energy installations.
