Effective October 15, 2009 Pfizer Inc. acquired Wyeth in a cash and stock merger. Pursuant to the terms of the merger, Wyeth holders will receive 0.985 of a share of Pfizer Inc. common stock and $33.00, without interest for every 1 share of Wyeth common stock they own as of the effective date. Holders who own their shares in "street name" or with a broker are urged to contact their broker accordingly for further instructions. Registered holders who hold either certificates, book entry shares and/or participate in the Wyeth BuyDIRECT Stock Purchase and Sale Plan dividend reinvest program will receive information in the mail shortly regarding how to exchange their shares.
